Use the library utility to easily add eBooks and other documents to the Speed
Reader Plus Library on your Pocket PC and Smartphone. Once you have found your e-Book on the
Internet, the entire transfer process normally takes less than 30 seconds.
NOTE: For your convenience, the examples below use short texts.
Acquiring an e-Book via Internet
Explorer (HTML)
Example:
- Click on this online source that has many
free texts
http://www.infomotions.com/alex/
- Type “birthmark” in the search box. You will
see a search result for the book “The Birthmark”.
Click on the “local copy” link.
- Hold down the <Ctrl> key and press the “A” key.
- Hold down the <Ctrl> key and press the “C” key.
- Start the library utility from the “Start”
menu.
- Enter a name for the book in the box.
- Press the "Send" button to
transfer the book to your SRP library on your PPC or Smartphone.
Acquiring an
e-Book via Adobe Acrobat (PDF)
Example:
* For Adobe Acrobat Reader documents,
select the "Continuous" view option from the "View" menu before you select the
text you want to copy. This will allow you to select all pages instead of only
one page.

- Click on the "Adobe" link under
"Three Short Stories, by Francis Bret Harte"
- Hold down the <Ctrl> key and press the “A” key.
- Hold down the <Ctrl> key and press the “C” key. If
necessary, wait until the coping process is finished.
- Start the library utility from the “Start”
menu.
- Enter a name for the book in the box.
- Press the "Send" button to
transfer the book to your SRP library on your PPC or Smartphone.
Acquiring an
e-Book via MS Word (DOC)
Example:
- Open a MS Word document.
- Hold down the <Ctrl> key and press the “A” key.
- Hold down the <Ctrl> key and press the “C” key.
- Start the library utility from the “Start”
menu.
- Enter a name for the book in the box.
- Press the "Send" button to
transfer the book to your SRP library on your PPC or Smartphone.
